“America’s Grand Experiment in Remote Learning Fails” (Page One, June 6) accurately describes the many issues with the virtual classrooms schools were forced to adopt when Covid-19 hit. A major complicating factor is the digital divide, where children from lower-income families don’t have adequate computers or internet speed to keep up with the demands of online learning. Unfortunately, offers by major telecom companies to close that gap have fallen short.
